History
Touch ID debuted here, built into a Home button capped with sapphire crystal and ringed in the phone's metal finish.
The A7 was the first 64-bit processor used in a smartphone.
Launched alongside the iPhone 5c, which carried the iPhone 5's internals in a colored polycarbonate body.
March 2016
The enclosure design continued in the first-generation iPhone SE, which replaced the 5s in the line-up.
